What Determines the Cost of a Website in Albania

“How much does a website cost?” is the first question most clients ask, and the honest answer is that it depends on what the website has to do. This article explains the factors that decide the price, so you can plan a budget and compare offers fairly.

1. The type of website

A presentation website with a few pages is the simplest project. An online store is larger, because it needs products, payments, shipping and order management. A custom platform with special features is larger still.

2. Design: template or custom

A ready-made template is faster and costs less, but your website will look similar to others. A custom design is created around your brand and your customers. It takes more time and gives you a website that is yours alone.

3. The number of pages and the content

More pages mean more design and development work. Content matters too. If texts and photos are ready, the project moves quickly. If they have to be written, photographed or translated, that work is part of the budget.

4. Features and integrations

This is where prices differ the most. Examples of features that add work:

  • online payments and delivery options,
  • booking or reservation systems,
  • more than one language,
  • connection to an inventory or accounting system,
  • product catalogs with filters and search.

5. The platform

WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify have different cost structures. Some have a monthly subscription, others need hosting and maintenance. We compare them in Shopify vs WooCommerce.

6. SEO and performance

A website that nobody finds does not help your business. Basic SEO, fast loading and a good mobile experience should be part of every project, not an extra at the end.

7. Costs after launch

Plan for the running costs as well:

  • domain and hosting, or the platform subscription,
  • updates, backups and security,
  • changes and new content over time.

How to compare offers

Two offers with very different prices often describe two different projects. Before deciding, check:

  • Is the design custom or a template?
  • How many pages and which features are included?
  • Who provides the content?
  • Is SEO included?
  • What happens after launch, and what does maintenance cost?
